Callistemon House
Hello everyone, I’m Asma and I'm excited to introduce myself as a Callistemon Year 8 SRC member for 2024.
Being a part of SRC is something I deeply enjoy because it gives me the chance to contribute to our school community, work closely with fellow students and help bring your ideas to life. One of the best things about being an SRC is seeing our collective efforts create positive change and fun experiences for everyone.
As we approach the end of Term 3, I wanted to highlight a few exciting things happening in Callistemon.
- Doughnut Fundraising: We’ll be organising a fundraising event where we sell doughnuts to raise money. This will be an excellent opportunity for us to come together and make a difference in our community.
- Badminton Tournament: Get ready to show off your athletic skills! We’re planning a volleyball tournament where teams can compete in a friendly and fun environment. Whether you’re a pro or just looking to have some fun, everyone’s welcome to participate.
- Noodles Selling Programme: We know how much everyone loves a tasty snack, so we’re introducing a hot noodles selling event. This will not only satisfy your hunger but also help raise funds.
In addition to these events, we’re also thrilled to be celebrating Cultural Celebration Week on 16th-20th September, towards the very end of the term. This will be a week where we embrace and showcase the diverse cultures within our school community. It’s a fantastic way to learn more about each other’s backgrounds and appreciate the rich tapestry of cultures that make our school so special.
I’m really looking forward to these events and seeing all of you participate. Let’s make the end of Term 3 memorable by coming together and supporting these activities.
If you have any suggestions or ideas, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s work together to keep making our school the best it can be.
Thank you and let’s have an amazing term ahead! 😊
