Darwinia House
Hello everyone! My name is Dabeer and I’m excited to introduce myself as a member of the Student Representative Council (SRC) for this term. I’m thrilled to be a part of this fantastic team and look forward to contributing to our school community.
Helping the Children’s Hospital
This term, we’re rallying together to support a cause close to our hearts: helping the local children’s hospital. We’ve organised a hot chocolate sale, and all proceeds will go directly to the hospital. It’s a small gesture, but with everyone’s participation, we can make a big difference. So, grab a cup of delicious hot chocolate and know that you’re warming more than just your hands—you’re helping those in need.
Year 8 Swimming Program
This past week, our Year 8 students dove into a week-long swimming program, which was a huge success! It was wonderful to see everyone improving their skills and gaining confidence in the water. The program not only focused on swimming techniques but also on water safety, which is crucial as we head into the summer months.
Subject Selection
Subject selection is just around the corner, and it’s an exciting time for all of us as we start planning for the future. Whether you’re passionate about art, STEM, food tech or any other field, now is the time to explore your interests and choose subjects that will help you achieve your goals. Remember, the choices you make now will shape your educational journey, so take your time and choose wisely.
Introducing the Darwinners Award
I’m also excited to announce the introduction of a new award at our school: the Darwinners Award. This award will recognise students who consistently show outstanding community commitment and dedication to their learning. This award will celebrate those who embody these qualities in their daily lives.
