School Production

Around the World in 80 Days!

Friday 16th and Saturday 17th of August marked the debut of the 2024 production Around the World in 80 Days! An incredible journey of a show with nothing less than great adventures, hilarious comedy and heart-warming moments like “Romaaantic nonsense.”

Throughout Terms 2 and 3 this year, cast and crew put in tremendous efforts to pull together a truly memorable show that everyone was sure to enjoy. So much work went into top-notch acting, stunning costumes and all-new elements of singing and dancing for the first time in many years. The evening shows attracted a record-breaking audience, with more attendees than in previous years, revitalising the love for theatre in our school community. Even if you missed it this year, you can watch it on YouTube and make sure you don’t miss it next year to support the school community!

The journey of bringing the Production to life was also something extra special for everybody to remember. With only four months together, the passion poured into creating the show left us with unbreakable friendships that we wouldn’t have expected otherwise. The theatre filled us with so many happy memories of joy and laughter; it filled us with confidence and courage to embrace who we are and take pride in what we achieved throughout our endeavours. But as all good things do, our final show came to an end and, once again, the time arrived for farewells to the Seniors who performed for their final year at Dande High.

We not only have our Seniors to look up to and the shoes they’ve left to fill, but also have many incredible teachers on board with us this year to help, including Ms Ramirez, Mrs Leemann, Mr Christoffelsz, Ms Oxley and our director, Mr Lloyd, who have helped us pull together so many aspects of the production and inspired us to make it the best experience we possibly could; not to mention the ex-students (Rachael, Peter, Natalie and Georgia) who returned to help us as well, showing us real dedication. For all that these amazing people have done, we owe them many thanks.
