Grevillea House
Hello everyone, I’m Zainab, Grevillea’s Year 8 SRC, and this is an update on the House.
We’re halfway through the term, approaching the end of 2024, and Grevillea House aims to leave 2024 with notable accomplishments and memories.
On the 6th of August, the Year 8 English class of Grevillea and Eucalyptus attended the Love for Reading Excursion to the city, where we visited the Museum of Film: ACMI and the State Library Victoria. It was an exhilarating event, moreover educational. At one point, students were allowed to explore and shop at Melbourne Central and were trusted to return to the teacher, Ms Nguyen, at the meeting place. Fortunately, everything went smoothly.
Later in the term, Grevillea House held a charity event where we sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts and donated the profits to people in need, specifically people with disabilities.
The swimming program commenced not many weeks later, and fortunately, we had great participation, mostly from Year 7s.
May this term be even better than the last and less stressful!
