The screening of our school musical film was an absolute hit! The theatre was packed with our amazing cast and crew all buzzing with anticipation. Lots of laughter, cheers, and singing were had and overall all students enjoyed the evening!
A special thank you to our amazing producer Heather Fehring for organising and setting up this event, and providing the movie-time snacks and excitement for all!
We have been hearing the following question floating around the community of late “What will the musical be next year?” Are you excited to audition? Will you be hoping for a place in the crew or will you be an enthusiastic audience member? Stay tuned for the teaser campaign launching in Term 1.
Year 9 Dance Academy were very fortunate to go on an excursion to “Tina – The Musical”, on Wednesday 6th November, at the Princess Theatre. It was an eye-opening and dynamic show, displaying incredible dance and theatrical performances. The Dance Academy students have the opportunity once a year to attend a dance industry show and this was a highlight of their final year in the junior program.
The End of Year Dance Showcase was a huge success. Students performed two shows on Friday 22nd Nov and Sunday 24th Nov. All our dancers showed exceptional professionalism and dedication to the show at such a busy time of the year. We all worked very hard to produce every item, and we couldn't be more proud of the student's performances.
A special thank you to Prue Slingsby for all she has done with the dance programs over the past years, and this year leading up to her maternity leave. You will be missed by all and we wish you all the best!
Brianna has recently been appointed as the new VET Dance teacher for 2025, whilst Prue Slingsby is on maternity leave. Bri will bring great energy and a wealth of knowledge to the program, and is excited to be taking on this new opportunity. We congratulate Bri on this exciting new step and look forward to seeing the work she produces with our VET Dance students.
