Connecting with Caulfield Primary School and Our Garden Project

It is incredibly astounding just how fast the year has progressed as we are now at the end of Term 4! 

We at Glen Caufield Primary Kindergarten have much to celebrate with many events and engagements that have occurred during 2025.   

There are many achievements or ongoing program experiences that we celebrate on a daily basis that we, as a team, work hard to complete, encourage and engage the kindergarten children and families to feel always included. 

To name them all would take another five newsletters but below are just two examples that are close to our hearts. 

Garden Project 

Our garden project started as very much a thought-provoking idea by our wonderful Hanley-Hancock family who have always been active members of the kindergarten community over a number of years.  This was supported by Margaret who went with the idea too.  The purpose of the idea was to encourage and environmentally enhance the outside area for both native flora and fauna to return to the garden. This is still an ongoing project which has been taken on board by our kindergarten community. We look forward to keeping everybody posted with our progress. 😊 

Caulfield Primary School 

Our engagement with our friends at Caulfield Primary School is an ongoing relationship that has been forged over many years.   

This is seen in our consistent engagement with the Prep/Foundation teachers, who are located in the same building as Glen Caulfield Primary Kindergarten.  From Term 1 in the orientation process (many of our children attend CPS) to the annual sports day (Udon Kai), to school readiness in Term 4.  

We also actively use the school’s playground, the library and join in with many other celebrations throughout the year which include the end year family concert.
