College Captains Update

Dear BSC Community,
As we draw to a close after a busy and productive start to the year, the College Captain Team has been working diligently to establish our key priorities for 2026, laying a strong foundation for a range of meaningful initiatives to follow in Term 2. Throughout this process teamwork, student voice and transparency have been at the core of our efforts to strengthen communication across the school community.
On the 12th of March, the College Captain Team chaired a whole Leadership Team meeting, bringing together all school leaders to provide clear direction in achieving their goals and objectives. It was inspiring to see the leaders collaborate and take initiative, demonstrating pride and commitment in their roles.
On the 17th of March, the College Captain Team hosted a meeting with the Sport Leaders and House Leaders to discuss ideas for Athletics day, working collaboratively to develop event plans and deicide on a theme. This was followed by a second meeting on the 30th to finalise ideas and begin implementing our plan. Our athletics carnival will be held on the 29th of April.
On the 31st of March the College Captain Team participated in the Open Afternoon, welcoming members of the community to our college and showcasing what leadership looks like at Brighton Secondary College. This provided a valuable opportunity to connect with prospective families and represent the values and culture of our school.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Term 1 holiday break – a brilliant chance to refresh and get ready for the rest of the year ahead. We as a College Captain team look forward to returning next term and continuing to contribute positively to BSC and the community.
