Courtroom Excursion

VCE Legal Studies

Our Year 11 and 12 Legal Studies students had an incredible opportunity to attend the County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria on the 5th and 11th of March.

Students got to talk to a judge with our Year 11 Legal Studies students talking to Justice Andrew Keogh and our Year 12 students talking to Judge George Georgiou.

Our students got to observe real court proceedings, gaining valuable insight into how the justice system operates in practice. They were able to see key legal concepts come to life, including courtroom roles, rules of evidence, and the application of the principles of justice.

Our Year 11 students got to listen to cases of a financial deception, whilst our Year 12 students got to listen to evidence presented in a murder trial.

This experience provided a meaningful connection between classroom learning and the real world, deepening students’ understanding of the law and its impact on individuals and society.

A fantastic day of learning beyond the classroom!
