Sibling Swimming Champions

Our Trophy Machines light up the pool once more!
On an overcast day at Oakleigh Pool, we sent a small team of 11 students to the Kingston Division Swimming Sports. Nikolai Trofimichine secured five golds (100m Breaststroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 200 IM) while Ana Trofimichina matched the feat with five of her own (100m Breaststroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 200 IM). Both secured Kingston records with Nikolai bettering three and Ana setting records in two events.
After securing five gold medals each at the Kingston Swimming Championships Nikolai and Ana were able to secure another nine between them at the Southern Metro Region Swimming Finals (Nikolai 5 and Ana 4).
The siblings will now move onto swim at the State Schools Championships in April and the National Championships on the Gold Coast during the school holidays.
