Brighton Secondary College students and families in the local community might be interested in a creative opportunity happening right now at the Artz Blitz 2026 – Kingston Arts Centre.

Artz Blitz is a community arts competition inviting participants of all ages and skill levels to take on a 24-hour creative challenge. Entrants have a full day to produce an original work in visual art, poetry or creative writing inspired by a secret theme, with the chance to win prizes and have their work showcased. Submissions are open across junior, youth and adult categories, and all entries will be judged by arts industry professionals. Winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony later in May, and works will be exhibited in gallery spaces in the weeks that follow.

This festival-style event offers a fun way to engage with artistic expression and creativity, whether students are exploring writing for the first time or developing their visual art skills. More details on dates and submission requirements can be found on the event page.
