Callistemon House

Meet your House Captains!
Hi everyone! My name is Sienna and, as most of you know, I am one of Callistemon House Captains for 2025.
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who gave me this opportunity to represent the best House in the school. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and working with you. It’s going to be a great year for all of us.
So far this term, our Year 12s went on their first excursion of the year to Cable Park, which was definitely a really fun and memorable experience. We also had the Badges Assembly, where we recognised all leaders for 2025. We would like to congratulate everyone who received a leadership role and an academic achievement. Leakta C, Noon H, Lujyin A & Palak W all achieved amazing ATARs, and on behalf of Callistemon, we want to congratulate them on the effort they put into their studies last year. The girls showed us that if we work hard, we can achieve great results.
To add to these amazing events, we have welcomed our new Year 7s with a welcome picnic for their first year at Dandy High.
I would also like to thank everyone who participated in the Swimming Carnival, whether it was inside or outside the pool. You guys helped Callistemon win back to back. Well done, everyone!
Last year, our House also won Athletics, which is a big achievement. We are hoping we can go back to back for Athletics as well, so I encourage you all to sign up and participate to help our House win again.
Not only do we hope to win Athletics, but we are also hoping to win the House Shield. Make sure to look out for any fundraising events and other activities, including Chorals.
Much appreciated!
Your House Captain,
Sienna 😎
Hey everyone!
As you all know (and for those who don’t), my name is Zeel, and I am one of the House Captains for Callistemon (our best House!!) for 2025.
As your House Captains, we are enthusiastic about working with you all, our staff and our teachers to bring the absolute best out of this year, even as we face challenges. Welcome, everyone, to this journey of becoming the most successful House, one that grounds achievements in pride and courage.
Once again, congratulations to last year's House Captains and SRC Presidents for working extremely hard to bring out some fabulous results and achievements. We hope everyone takes the first step out of their comfort zone because when we challenge ourselves, we create something special.
I am looking forward to meeting with our SRCs and working with everyone to grow this House, overcome challenges and support our staff in building new legacies. Heads up, everyone—look out for fundraising events that will be running very soon, so keep an eye out and keep your mates informed (every contribution is needed).
Sienna mentioned all the great things that have happened this term, and we are looking forward to many more experiences. I just hope our strong leaders from Year 12, 11 and 10 can represent themselves as role models for our younger students in the House, guiding them in areas where they feel lost or helping them to improve their behaviour. Even if it's just having a conversation or saying hi, it will be a great way to strengthen communication within the House.
Thank you! 😃
Your Captain,
Zeel
