LRC March update

The library celebrated International Women’s day with a wonderful concert from ‘Vardos’. They are a Melbourne based trio of musicians who perform music with an Eastern European flavour. Staff and students were entertained by their energetic performance & some funny antics by the violinist. 

This year the theme for Women’s day was ‘Accelerate Action’- Focusing on the need to Accelerate Action emphasises the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.

We also had a great turnout for our World Poetry Day Event. Over 20 staff and students read poems they had written to an enthusiastic audience. Two of our staff dressed up in theme for the occasion which was a real highlight. 

Year 7 students are beginning a reading challenge, where they are encouraged to read 9 new books from different genres throughout the year.
