Grevillea House

Meet your House Captains!
I’m the kind of person who believes every challenge is an opportunity to grow. But before you start thinking I’m some motivational speaker, let me introduce myself. I'm Nathsethisak (though you can call me Seth), and it is both an absolute honour and a privilege to be elected as Grevillea House Captain for 2025, alongside Hosna.
First of all, I would like to congratulate the Year 7s for their hard work and dedication as they start this exciting chapter of their journey. It’s also exciting to see all our year levels back to school, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to our Dandy High community. I hope we all had a great break and came back to school ready for a fresh start and an attitude ready to learn (especially the Year 12s for our never ending SACs). The Badges Assembly held in Week 5 was one of the significant events in our school calendar and thank you to those who behaved in the best manner. I'd like to also congratulate the 2025 Grevillea House SRC appointees and look forward to working together as a team.
The Swimming Carnival held in Week 8 was a significant success. Students raised their hands and participated, and we thank and acknowledge their contribution to the House. The House spirit was amazing, and although we didn't win, the achievement we made was a fabulous effort by all Grevilleans.
This year is a chance for us to unite as a community, build on our strengths, and make the most of every opportunity ahead. We may not know each other very well, but that’s okay and that is what we are working towards- to encourage us, Grevilleans, to work together and know each other even better. We want to see everyone engaged in every event and challenge, from carnivals to academic achievements, because each of us brings something important to our collective success.
This year, let’s make every moment count. Every event, every challenge, is a chance to demonstrate our ability. Whether it’s running the race, doing push-ups, or cheering our team on, we all have a part to play. I challenge each of you to step up—don’t wait for someone else to lead. Participate, do your best, and create a memorable year. Your energy and your participation are what will make Grevillea shine. Take control of 2025!

Hello Grevilleans, you may have seen me around the House, but if not, let me introduce myself. My name is Hosna and I am honoured to be your 2025 Grevillea House Captain alongside Seth. I’m beyond excited to work with each and every one of you this year, and I can't wait to see what we’ll accomplish together. Being your House Captain gives me the wonderful opportunity to get to know you all, so please, don’t hesitate to come say hi (I’m very friendly don’t worry!)
It’s fantastic to see all year levels settling back into school routines, and I was especially privileged to welcome our Year 7s. A huge congratulations to them for starting their high school journey with enthusiasm and courage. To all our Year 7s, remember to challenge yourselves and embrace every moment, make this year one full of growth and unforgettable memories.
Participation is key to showing our true Grevillean spirit to others outside of our House. It’s through events like the Swimming Carnival that we can demonstrate our unity, commitment, and pride as a House. So, let’s make sure we all take the initiative to sign up to future events and get involved. These events will become some of the highlights of your high school experience, and your participation is what makes them special.
One huge event that we all attended was the Badges Assembly which was very successful. We got to see our leaders and our SRC representatives receive their prestigious badges. Congratulations to our SRCs whom I cannot wait to work with so we can achieve great outcomes as we gather your input on how we can make Grevillea better.
Make sure to give this term your all, challenge yourselves and get involved!
