Meet your House Captains!

Hey everyone,

We’re Krithiga and Ieli, and we’re super excited to help support and lead Hakea House this year. One of the things we’re most looking forward to is seeing everyone get involved, whether it’s in competitions, fundraisers, or just showing support for each other in day-to-day activities. Our goal is to make this year one to remember!  

This term has been off to a strong start with numerous sign-ups for the swimming carnival and amazing involvement from all of the Hakean year levels in the sports event held at the gym. We love the energy and enthusiasm from everyone so far. So let’s keep it going!

On March 19th, during the Swimming Carnival, we were beyond delighted to see the pride and enthusiasm of all the students, both during the events and throughout the day. The energy and positivity throughout the day among the students and staff made the day even more special! It was also fantastic to see everyone proudly wearing their House colours -not just for the competitive spirit of the day, but for the fun, the memories, and the pride of supporting our House, regardless of the outcome. 

We’re also gearing up for some upcoming fundraisers, so keep an eye out for details on how you can help out because remember, every bit of support counts no matter how small!

Looking ahead, next term will bring Athletics Day, so be sure to bring the same enthusiasm and spirit then as well!

Lastly, if you have any ideas or want to be more involved, don’t hesitate to reach out to the House Captains (us), SRCs or the HLT. Let’s bring the Hakea spirit to every event throughout the year and make 2025 our best year yet!
