To help you prepare for the upcoming assessments in Term 3, we’ve compiled a list of important dates and tasks:

Year 7: Examination Week 8

Year 10: 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 Yearly examination in Week 8

Year 11:

Standard Yearly Exam in Week 9/10

Advanced + Extension yearly exam term 3 week 9/10

Year 12:

Standard 1 Week 5 Multimedia Assignment on Linear Modelling

Standard 2 Week 5 Multimedia Assignment on Linear Modelling

Advanced Week 5 Investigative Project

Extension 1+2 Written Test in week 5 Term 3

Parents and carers are encouraged to refer to the Assessment Booklet provided at the beginning of the year to stay informed about your child’s upcoming assessments.

Students are encouraged to record these due dates in their planners as well. This proactive approach will help minimise stress and last-minute rushes as the term progresses.

Students are reminded that a calculator will be an essential tool for their learning in maths and completion of their assessment tasks. Please ensure that you have a calculator and are bringing it to class with you for each maths lesson. Calculators can conveniently be purchased from the school office, so don’t hesitate to get what you need to support your learning journey.

Students are also reminded of the importance of having a workbook, pencils and pens and bringing these to each and every lesson. Please ensure that you have these items and are bringing them to class every day in term 3.

Holiday Movie Recommendation: The Big Short

Year 12 and The Big Freeze

Our beloved Math teacher and year 12 year coordinator Mrs. Cook has worked alongside Year 12 this term to raise funds for a cause close to their heart, “The Big Freeze”. The entire school community got involved and gave generously, successfully breaking their $10,000 target. Thanks to the members of staff who got involved in the ice-bucket challenge, generously volunteering their comfort to raise money for a great cause. All the funds raised will go towards fighting Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and we thank Mrs. Cook, Year 12 and the entire school community for rallying behind this great cause.

TASC - Homework Club

Just a friendly reminder that TASC - Homework Club is held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:10 to 4:10. If you find yourself in need of additional assistance with your mathematics coursework outside of regular class hours, this is the perfect opportunity to get the support you need.
