Senior students have been offered Monday afternoons 3pm-4pm as an extra opportunity to work on their major projects in the workshop space with their teacher. The above completion dates are fast upon us, so it is vitally important that students be working on both PROJECT and PORTFOLIO consistently between now and then. As a guide, students are expected to work at least one hour a week on their portfolios.
Subject Fee letters have gone home. This covers the cost of consumable materials and supplies. Payment can be made online via the CHS website. Payment options are available. Students can pay weekly, per term or as a lump sum payment. If financial hardship exists, please don’t hesitate to contact the finance department within the school.
All students require fully covered leather shoes to participate in the kitchens and workshops for Work Health and Safety requirements. Students in incorrect footwear are unable to participate and will be set alternate theory work in another supervised class.
Congratulations to Year 12 students Emma and Paige and Year 11 students Angelina & Alisha who volunteered their time to run a successful cafe for parents and staff during the exchange. Their work ethic and skills were outstanding. They prepared and served coffee, sweet treats including mini cheesecakes and triple choc cookies, toasties and freshly made pumpkin soup. Our pumpkins were sourced from our Ag plot.
Special mention to Emma who worked tirelessly leading up to the event by designing the menu and coffee card. She also over the 2 days served every customer with a smile and welcoming positive vibe. We are so proud of watching our students grow and develop ready for the work force ahead.
