Swimming Carnival

The annual Dandenong High School Swimming Carnival was a fun and energetic day, full of House pride, friendly competition, and strong performances from students across all year levels.

Students showed great enthusiasm as they represented their Houses in a variety of events. From freestyle and backstroke races, to relays and novelty events, the Swimming Carnival highlighted both individual skill and teamwork. The atmosphere was lively, with students cheering loudly for their Houses and celebrating every effort and achievement.

After a full day of competition, Callistemon took first place with an impressive 284 points. Their consistent results and strong participation across events helped them secure the win. Eucalyptus came second with 214 points, showing determination and effort throughout the day. Darwinia placed third with 143 points, also putting in a strong performance and contributing to an exciting day of competition.

Congratulations to Callistemon, Eucalyptus and Darwinia for finishing in the top three. A special mention also goes to all the Year 7 students, who were the most competitive and enthusiastic group across the entire day.

The House Leadership Teams also awarded Spirit Awards to students who stood out for their effort, positivity, encouragement, and House pride, especially those who showed strong support and wore their House colours proudly.

Overall, the Swimming Carnival was a great success, showcasing not only swimming ability, but also teamwork, school pride and positive sportsmanship. Congratulations to everyone who participated, and especially to Callistemon for their well-earned win.

We look forward to seeing everyone continue the energy and House spirit at the Choral Competition in Term 2 Week 8 on Thursday 11th June, as well as at the Athletics Carnival in Term 3 Tuesday 18th August!
