St George's Superstars

Our incredible students

Serena, Year 12, and Emily, Year 11

Two St George's students have a spring in their step after successful performances at the  at the Australian Age Diving Championships this April.

Emily dived in 1m springboard, 3m springboard and scored Personal best in Platform (16-18 years). Serena scored personal best in 1m springboard, competed in 3m springboard and 3m synchronised diving (16-18 years). Serena also Judged and Refereed throughout the event and achieved Level 3 Judging certification.

Ethan, Year 12

Ethan has been chosen to represent Australia in the Gridiron (American football) world championships in Canada in June. He is a wide receiver and has been working really hard for this! Well done Ethan.

Lia, Year 9

Lia represented WA last week in Adelaide at the National Track and Field Championships – racing in the U15 girls 1500m on Monday, 3000m on Tuesday and 800m on Thursday and Friday.

Lia’s results were amazing, and we are very proud of her commitment, dedication and determination.  It was also the largest week of racing she has ever taken on and required her to be able to race and recover over 5 days, not to mention manage her nerves!

Lia came away with a silver medal in the 1500m, bronze (and a PB of 9:58) in the 3,000m and made the final of the 800m (PB in the heats and 8th in the final).

Ben and Saira - Grammarians

St George’s’ two previous Community Captains (Class of 2022 and 2023) have found themselves on similar paths after school – the two friends running into each other while studying at the Australian National University.

Ben and Saira report that they are both are having lots of fun and thriving in the buzzing student city of Canberra, doing St George’s proud.
