Interhouse Cross Country

We would like to invite all members of the St George’s community to come along to Poolgarla Parkland, Kings Park. Drive into Kulunga Way, to watch the 2024 Interhouse Cross Country Carnival. This year we will be hosting it as a whole school event on Thursday, 2 May, with races taking place from 9am–12pm.

Here is the schedule:

Successful students will be selected in the ACC Cross Country Team. The top six boys and girls from each year group will compete at Alderbury Reserve, Floreat, in the ACC Cross Country Carnival on Thursday, 20 May. This event is the biggest ACC event with all 89 ACC schools competing in races at can exceed 300 students, making it quite a spectacle as they take off from a huge start line.

Morning Running Club

As the Interhouse Cross Country draws close, some students have been preparing bright and early as part of our Morning Running Club. Taking in views around the river and Kings Park, it’s a great way to start the day. Feel free to join us. Running Club meets in the Fitness Centre at 7am on Mondays and Wednesdays and take off at 7.05am.

Swimming All Stars

A massive congratulations to Fieke Potter, Anouk Potter and Amelie McKeon for their incredible swimming achievements. These girls have been selected in the 2024 ACC All Stars Swimming Team. This really is something to be celebrated as they are the top swimmer in their event from all schools and all divisions, from J-A Division. Their contribution made a massive difference to our success in the pool. Along with all three Girls being awarded Champion Girl for their Year group I would also like to commend Benjamin Manningfor his achievement of U/16 Champion Boy. I look forward to presenting their well-earned certificates and ACC All Stars badges once received from the ACC.
