Gandhi House

It has been fantastic to see students return with great energy and enthusiasm, ready to dive into all the amazing House activities we have lined up this term. In PCG, we have launched our PCG Quizzes – an exciting new competition where each PCG will battle it out to be crowned champion. These are organised and run by our incredible PCG representatives, so I would like to give a huge thanks to them for their incredible leadership! Week 1 had the PCG’s tackle Geography, with a new topic presented each week.

This week also marked our 2025 Interhouse Athletics Carnival. A big thank you to all the students who took part and earned valuable participation points for Gandhi. Your effort and team spirit did not go unnoticed.  Week 4 brings our House Week competition, with events taking place during PAWS and lunchtimes.  Let’s keep the momentum going.

Miss Amy Perejmibida

Lincoln House

It has been an exciting start to the term with our students competing in the Interhouse Athletics Carnival this week. It was fantastic seeing all the Lincoln students participating in the different events, and those that could not participate cheering on the House, exemplifying our House spirit.

House Week will be held soon during Week 4 and will be one of the final opportunities for our students to win House points towards the House Cup. Sign-ups and information will be available soon for students who are interested in participating. Battle of the Bands practice will also start soon, with our band members practicing after school in preparation for the event later this term. We will be practicing hard to make this event a three-peat for Lincoln!

There is much to be involved in, and with House Cup being so close, I encourage all members of Lincoln House to sign up and be involved. Everyone’s contribution will count.

Mandela House

A warm welcome back to Term 3!

I hope everyone enjoyed the extended three-week break and has returned feeling recharged and ready for what is shaping up to be a busy and exciting term.

We kicked things off with the Interhouse Athletics Carnival this week – it was fantastic to see Mandela students out there giving it their all. Whether it was throwing a javelin, sprinting down the track, or soaring over the high jump bar, the participation and encouragement across the House was something to be proud of. This term is particularly significant for our Year 12s as it is their final full term of high school. As a House, let us make it a memorable one for them. Get involved, show your support, and help create moments that they will carry with them beyond graduation.

Looking ahead, Week 4 will bring the return of House Week, with lunchtime activities giving everyone a chance to earn points and enjoy some friendly competition. In Week 6, our Mandela team will take to the stage for Battle of the Bands. We wish them the best as they prepare to represent us.

We will also be wrapping up the term with a re-imagined House Charity Day. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks, it is sure to be a great way to finish off the term together.

Let us make Term 3 one to remember. Go Mandela!
