Year 9 & 10
Mr Brad Cotterell
As we step into the second semester, it is wonderful to see our Year 9s embracing new electives with curiosity and enthusiasm. This term is brimming with opportunities – from engaging classroom learning to exciting events – and I am eager to see the creativity and energy our cohort brings.
Our recent Interhouse Athletics Carnival was a standout moment, with incredible performances across the board. The Heads of Houses were especially impressed by the spirit and effort shown by our students – well done to all who participated!
A special shout-out to those involved in the Production. Your dedication and talent are inspiring, and we are all looking forward to seeing your hard work come to life on stage.
Let us continue to support one another, take on new challenges, and make the most of everything this term has to offer.
As we reach the midpoint of the year, it is a great time for our Year 10s to reflect on the lessons learned in Semester 1 and look ahead with renewed focus. One of the most anticipated events is the Year 10 Camp – an exciting opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build resilience, and create lasting memories. Don’t forget to pack wet weather gear – it is often rainy, but that only adds to the adventure!
We also send our best wishes to those involved in the Production. Your hard work and creativity are truly appreciated, and we cannot wait to see you shine on stage.
Subject selection is now front of mind for many. It is a perfect time to focus in class and aim to lift those Amber subjects in the Traffic Light system. If you are unsure or need guidance, please reach out – we are here to help.
Let’s make the second half of the year one to remember.
