Vinnies Christmas Appeal

Thank you to the families that generously contributed to our Christmas Appeal. We also raised a huge $1700 to go towards gifts and party food for families in need in the Kooringal Area. A huge thank you to the SRC who rallied Homegroups tirelessly and also put a list together of gifts we could purchase with the money raised.

Christmas Liturgy - Hope Has a Name

Today our community came together to pause, reflect, and welcome the hope of Advent as we journey toward Christmas. Students led the liturgy with live music and liturgical dance. We were also fortunate to have our captains act out the nativity gospel reading.

“As we come to the end of this Jubilee Year of Hope we remember that hope is not just a feeling… Hope has a name. And that name is Jesus. Christmas is God entering our world so we never need to face darkness alone. Let us open our hearts to the One who brings light into every shadow.”

The Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Assembly Liturgy

On Wednesday 26 November, we gathered as a faith community to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary with an Assembly Liturgy. Known to us as ‘Presentation Day’, this special Feast Day is acknowledged every year on the 21st of November. In the history of our College community, the Presentation Sisters, along with the Christian Brothers, hold a sacred place.

We gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Mary and to give thanks for the legacy of the Presentation Sisters in this 250th year of Presentation life. We reflected on how the inspiration of Mary nurtured the spirits, hearts and hands of the Sisters, enabling them to endure in their challenging work; sharing education, teaching life skills and inspiring hope to generations of students, families and communities throughout their vocation.

Student Representative Council (SRC)

Thank you to all the students who have applied for the SRC in 2026. Students will be announced and their badges will be presented in early 2026.

Preparing our Hearts for Advent

During the season of Advent, we pray that God will prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus into our lives. Advent is a time filled with hope, love, joy, and peace, four gifts we can all share at home, at school, and in our community. Please see the Parish Christmas Mass times at the end of the Newsletter. I wish each family in our Community a blessed Christmas, filled with love in abundance.

A Christmas Blessing

Along with the Christmas prayer in this newsletter, we offer a special blessing to our families at Christmas:

May there be harmony in your relationships

and may your kind words and acts be rewarded.

May you receive love generously, as you have given it so freely.

May each person who comes into your life be greeted as another, in Christ.

May the hope of this Christmas season settle within you and enliven your spirit.

May your family and friends be especially blessed at this time,

celebrating together with grateful hearts.

May you realise daily, the sacred gift of your person

and reflect the hidden treasures in your lives.

May the coming year be one of good health for you, filled with energy and vitality.

May you keep your eye on the star within you and may the luminous presence of Christ, guide your heart, mind and hands. AMEN
