Grandin Go Back-to-Back at the 2026 House Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to Grandin House, who claimed back-to-back victories at the 2026 Mazenod House Athletics Carnival. Their combined effort across all year groups saw them finish on top after a closely contested day of competition.
The participation, effort and behaviour of all teams was outstanding, with House Captains and many Year 12 students once again demonstrating excellent leadership throughout the event.
A sincere thank you to the wonderful Mazenod staff and students who helped with the smooth running of the carnival. Special thanks also to the HPE staff and grounds staff for their additional work in preparing for and running the event. We also extend our thanks to the parents and family members who came along to spectate and show their support.
It was a close battle throughout the day, with Grandin edging out the greatly improved Gerard House in an exciting finish.

ACC Cross Country 2026
The Mazenod College ACC Cross Country Team proudly competed in the ACC Cross Country Carnival, which this year celebrated its 60th anniversary. With perfect running conditions throughout the day, despite the early threat of rain, students represented the College with great determination, resilience and sportsmanship.
All competitors should be congratulated on their efforts and commitment, both in training and on race day. The carnival provided a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves against strong competition from schools across the ACC, with each race featuring more than 400 runners.
Several Mazenod students produced outstanding individual performances across the various age groups. In the Under 19 Boys division, T. Davey finished an impressive 4th overall, with S. Davey placing 15th and L. Carroll finishing 63rd. In the Under 13 division, S. Jordan produced an exceptional performance to finish 1st overall, while K. Rainoldi finished 69th.
Other strong performances included H. Dalgleish finishing 24th in the Under 14 division. In the Under 15 division, F. Dalton placed 33rd and R. Mizen finished 56th, while in the Under 16 division, J. Gilders finished 25th and I. Macdonald placed 29th overall.
Congratulations to all runners who represented Mazenod College so positively. Thank you also to the staff and supporters who assisted on the day and encouraged our students throughout the carnival.
