Year 10 Outdoor Education

Riding the Trails in Dwellingup
As a final test of their mountain biking skills, the Year 10 Outdoor Education students travelled to Dwellingup to take on the renowned Murray Valley Trails. Students began their journey by riding the Munda Biddi Trail to their picturesque campsite at Baden Powell, where they set up camp and prepared for the challenges ahead.
The group then set out to explore the more technical trails, which provided both challenge and excitement. All students approached the experience with enthusiasm, determination and impressive skill, making the most of the opportunity to test their confidence and capability on the trails.
Back at camp, students demonstrated teamwork and independence through setting up the community camp, practising shelter-building skills and preparing meals together, with some delicious camp cooking enjoyed by all. The evening continued with a range of night activities, adding to the shared camp experience.
The following day, students explored more trails around town before finishing the expedition at the Dwellingup technical skills pump track, where they had the chance to further develop their riding technique.
Thank you to Mr Ballantyne for his organisation and to Mr Newman, Mr Holshoff and Mr Schultz for their support on the camp. What a crew!
