I&E Community Project 2026
At the start of Week 6, the Year 10 I&E students completed their annual community project. This year’s project involved paving a pathway between the Provence Centre and the main College car park, providing students with a safe path to walk along rather than walking on the driveway.
The project took place over two days, during which students learned many valuable job site skills, including maintaining a safe and clean job site, measuring, compacting, setting ground levels, managing water run-off, screeding and of course, laying pavers. Hopefully, they can use these skills during their Week 10 work experience and in their future working lives.
While working on the paving project, students also continued their Building and Construction projects, including pouring concrete tabletops and constructing wooden mirror frames. A big thank you to Mr Mike Scarfone and Mr Jacob Beynon for all their work and support with these tasks and throughout the project.
Another big thank you to Mr David Vallis for preparing the job site and delivering the sand and pavers.
