Beyond the College

Tom Takes on Australia’s Elite
Tom has continued his outstanding running form, recently representing Mazenod in the SSWA Cross Country race last Thursday, where he delivered an impressive performance to finish third.
He followed this with another remarkable result on Sunday, competing in the HBF 3km and placing fifth out of approximately 13,000 runners - an exceptional achievement in such a large and competitive field.
Following this week’s ACC Cross Country, Tom will travel to Leonora to compete in the prestigious Golden Gift. His coach has secured places for several members of the squad, giving Tom the opportunity to test himself against an elite field that is expected to include some of Australia’s leading athletes, including Peter Bol.
While the competition will be incredibly strong, Tom’s recent results show that he is in excellent form. Regardless of the outcome, the experience will be an invaluable opportunity to race alongside some of the nation’s best and continue his development as a talented young athlete.
Congratulations, Tom, on your outstanding achievements and all the best for the exciting races ahead.
Henry Leaves Nothing Undared
After singing in the choir at the 60th Anniversary Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral, Henry embarked on a 2.5-hour drive south to compete in his very first hard enduro race. In true Henry fashion, he rose to the challenge and came away victorious.
This remarkable achievement follows a similar success at his very first race meeting, where he claimed the 125cc Group B State Title. Henry has once again shown his courage, determination and talent, winning the first hard enduro event he entered.
In the spirit of Mazenod College, Henry continues to "Leave nothing undared."
