At the end of this term, Year 9 French classes have been started to work on La Provence, a region in southeastern France. It is renowned for its lavender and flowers fields, historic villages and Mediterranean lifestyle as well as the famous Ratatouille dish.

Also, students have been working on Van Gogh, a Dutch painter, who has spent a couple of years in Provence in Arles and Saint-Rémy-de Provence, attracted by the special light of this region.

Students have researched on his biography, his masterpieces such as ‘Starry night’ and ‘Sunflowers’ and his technique of painting.

Finally, they have enjoyed a final session in the Art area, trying to give their own version of the Sunflowers (Les tournesols).
