Spring Celebration Day

Sally Goss
Assistant Principal
On the last Wednesday of this term, our school came alive with colour, energy, and community spirit during the Spring Celebration Afternoon. All students in Years 7 to 10 took part in a wide range of exciting activities that brought together fun, creativity, and teamwork.
The courts were buzzing with energy as teams battled it out in the fast-paced 3 v 3 basketball competition, while others put their knowledge and quick thinking to the test in a lively spelling bee. Students and staff also enjoyed performances from our talented school bands, filling the afternoon with music and celebration.
For those looking for a treat, the ice cream truck and tea bar proved to be popular stops, offering the perfect refreshment on a warm-ish spring day. Meanwhile, creative outlets flourished with henna tattoos and nail art, giving students a chance to express themselves. A group of adventurers also gathered for a session of Dungeons and Dragons, showing the diversity of interests within our community.
Throughout the event, students were exceptionally well behaved, enjoying the activities while interacting positively with their friends and teachers. The afternoon was not only a chance to celebrate the season and the end of Term 3, but also an opportunity to strengthen connections and showcase the many talents within our school.
