Our school community came together to support the World’s Greatest Shave.
Students and staff gathered in A block courtyard to cheer on three of our bravest participants — Shalini Akhil, Marco Holmes, and Tim Roach — who put their courage on full display by shaving their heads and beard to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Thanks to their efforts, along with the generosity of our wider school community, we raised just over $3,500 for the cause. This incredible achievement will go directly towards supporting patients and families affected by blood cancer, as well as funding life-saving research.
The atmosphere on the day was filled with excitement, encouragement, and admiration for Shalini, Marco, and Tim, who each made a powerful statement of solidarity with those battling cancer. Their willingness to take part in this bold initiative reminds us all the importance of compassion, resilience, and community spirit.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, cheered, or simply showed their support. We especially thank our barbers, Derek Glennie and Noah Vugdelija. Most of all, we celebrate and commend Shalini, Marco, and Tim for their bravery and generosity - you have made our school proud.
Together, we have proven that even small acts of courage and kindness can create an enormous impact.
