Together we are better

Doing things together is good for us because it helps us feel connected and supported. Whether we’re cooking, playing, or just learning side by side, it’s more fun and less stressful than doing things alone. Sharing experiences brings laughter, builds friendships, and reminds us that we all belong, all have something to give, and all have something to learn.
Lunchtime Yoga
We are so fortunate to have Irina from Fit and Delicious join us each week to lead yoga and meditation sessions for both staff and students.
The program has been met with wonderful enthusiasm, with many students sharing that they feel calmer and more focused in the classes that follow. Staff also value the chance to connect with students in a relaxed setting and to share the yoga experience!
We have been truly impressed by the curiosity and openness shown by everyone involved. We look forward to continuing this uplifting program into Term 4.
Connection and Diversity Group
The Connection and Diversity Group continues to celebrate the rich cultural diversity at BSC, recently hosting a student-led Momo (Nepalese dumpling) making activity.
Year 10 student Yaashana Khadka (Year 10) shared her love of Nepalese cooking, guiding her peers through the process of making Momo from scratch. Laughter and chatter filled the room as students carefully folded the dumplings, proud of their creations and excited to taste them. Along the way, they not only enjoyed cooking together but also celebrated the variety of cultures and cuisines represented at BSC. The activity was a perfect reminder of how food can bring people together around the shared experience of a delicious meal.
Despite our differences, we can all agree that food unifies us!
Yaashana did an incredible job of bringing us all together to enjoy a feast; we are so grateful for all her effort in making this event such a success!
A huge thank you also to Cathy Serratore, Jess Blair and Jordan Rozanski for their support in making this lunchtime event such a memorable success.
The Connection and Diversity Group meets every Wednesday - come along and enjoy the fun!
