Year 9 Humanities Excursion

Year 9 Humanities students recently had the opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom on an action-packed day out in Melbourne's CBD.

Students visited the Shrine of Remembrance, where they were able to reflect on Australia's history and the significance of commemoration in shaping our national identity. From there, the group headed to the Royal Botanic Gardens, where hands-on activities brought the concepts of place and change to life in a meaningful and memorable way.

To round out the day, students put their knowledge to the test with a scavenger hunt through Alexandra Gardens, exploring the space and applying their understanding in a real-world context.

It was a fantastic day that gave students the chance to connect their classroom learning to the world around them and see firsthand how the themes we study in Humanities play out in the places we live and visit every day.
