Parents & Friends

P&F President’s 2025 End-of-Year Wrap-Up

As we reach the end of another big year at North Melbourne Primary School, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful community.

The Parents & Friends Association exists because of the energy, generosity, and spirit of our parent volunteers—and this year, you showed up with enthusiasm every single time.

We wrapped up our final event for the year on Friday 28 November, hosting a lovely Morning Tea for the 2026 Prep families. A huge thank you to our volunteer bakers who provided such delicious treats to our new families. We had a fantastic turnout, and it was wonderful to meet so many new faces beginning their NMPS journey.

This year was a milestone one for the P&F. Together, we proudly raised $16,645 towards the upgrade of Errol Street Campus southside playground redevelopment —a project that will benefit our children for years to come. This achievement was possible thanks to the collective effort of our community and the success of our events throughout the year.

Some highlights of 2025 included:

  • Our inaugural Trivia Night – A sell-out event filled with fun, laughter, and friendly competition.
  • The Breakky BBQ – A great community morning that brought families, staff members and businesses together.
  • The Bake Sale at the Federal Election – a wonderful selection of donated baked goods sold to the community.

A Special Thank You to Our Sponsors & Community Partners

We are incredibly grateful to the local businesses and community partners who supported our events throughout the year. Their generosity—whether through prize donations, catering support, or event contributions—played a huge role in the success of our fundraisers and helped us build a stronger, more connected school community.

Thank you to every business who put their hand up to support NMPS this year. Your partnership means so much to our families, and we look forward to continuing to work together in 2026.

None of these moments would have happened without the commitment of our P&F committee and the many parents who stepped in to help—whether it was organising, cooking, setting up, packing down, or simply showing up. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, truly made a difference.

As we look ahead to next year, we would love to welcome more members and encourage anyone interested to get involved – especially that 2026 will be a Fete year, we will need all hands-on deck! Even one hour of your time at an event helps us create meaningful experiences for our kids and community.

Thank you again for your support, kindness, and willingness to pitch in. Wishing every NMPS family a safe, happy, and restful holiday season. We look forward to an even bigger and better 2026!

Warmly,
