IDAHOBIT

The official dates is 17 May, a Saturday in 2025.  MGSC made 15 May IDAHOBIT. The day started with the following reflection broadcast on the public address system with activities at lunchtime presented by Kingston Youth.

Today MGSC Celebrates  IDAHOBIT Day – the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia. It’s a day that reminds us of the importance of standing up against discrimination and celebrating diversity in all its forms.

Too many people around the world—and right here in our own communities—still face exclusion, fear, or violence simply for being who they are. Whether someone identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, or is still exploring their identity—everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued.

Today and everyday at MGSC we celebrate inclusivity! We are building an environment where everyone belongs! That doesn’t happen in one day—it’s a daily choice. A daily act of allyship. So today, let’s reflect. Let’s learn. And most importantly, let’s act.

At lunchtime, join us in the canteen courtyard to celebrate inclusivity with people from the City of Kingston Together, we can create a world where love, identity, and expression are not only accepted—but celebrated.

Happy IDAHOBIT.
