Councillor Esmee

Esmee Kerkhof (Year 7) journey as a Junior Councillor for Kingston's Caruana Ward is coming to an end. It's been a year of fulfilling and diverse community initiatives, such as debating with the Mayor Georgina Oxley.

Esmee helped to raise funds and select organisations to receive the community grants to benefit the development of disability services. Grant recipients included Bayside Special Development School, St Mary’s Health Services, Outlook Australia, Le Page Primary School and St Mary’s Health Services

Esmee’s commitment to helping others in the community is inspiring. She is excited about the endless possibilities this opportunity has given her.

Esmee also attended the Legacy Schools Anzac Ceremony with MGSC studetns.

“Anzac services are a tradition in our family as we are originally from Flanders and we are always involved in serving our community on this day.

Congratulations Esmee.

Diana rides Angelina ECPH again

We are delighted to share that Diana Bakharevskaya (Year 9) has achieved more success in equestrian pursuits. Over the April holidays, Diana and her six year old mare, Angelina ECPH, competed at the Equestrian Victoria Interschool State Championships. They placed 6th in the Showjumping (Advanced) and Reserve Champion in the Combined Training 2*.

This secured a spot on the Victorian National Team going to the Australian Interschool Equestrian Championships in Sydney later this year. Wow!
