Radium Girls tells the true story of young female factory workers in the 1920s who painted luminous watch dials with radium-based paint, unaware of its deadly effects. As the women begin to suffer from mysterious illnesses, they struggle to hold the powerful U.S. Radium Corporation accountable. The play follows Grace Fryer, a dial painter who bravely fights for justice despite mounting personal and legal challenges. A poignant and powerful drama, Radium Girls explores themes of corporate greed, the cost of silence, and the courage of ordinary people standing up for what’s right.
As part of their theatre studies course work the students have directed, designed costume, sets, props, lighting, sound, make up & hair, and sound as well as acting in the show.
A truly collaborative project by an outstanding group of creative students – don’t miss out on tickets for this!
