Sun Project CBCA Shadow Judging 2025 

Shadow Judging 2025 has begun!  The next meeting will be at lunch time on Thursday 22 May in the Resource Room behind the library desk to discuss A Wreck of Seabirds by Karlea Olson.  There are five other books on the short list to read and discuss before students vote for a winning title, which will become the CBCA Shadow Judging Older Readers Book of the Year 2025.

 

Book Mark Competition

I am delighted to announce the two winners of the 2025 Bookmark Competition are Bec M and Coco Z.  Congratulations to Bec and Coco for their outstanding and original water colour designs that reference books and literature in their work.  

In addition to the two winning entries, fifteen runners-up have had their bookmarks selected to be printed.  Congratulations to the following students: Elm U, Aarya R, Zoe H, Evelyn R, Daphne C, Lecia W, Charlotte C, Sophia T, Nancy Z, Alika K, Gabriella OQ, Charlie C, Stella S, Annabelle D and Alice B.

 

A big thank you to all students who entered the competition.  Thank you too, to Ms Gordon for judging this year as the standard of creativity among the 54 entries was outstanding.

 

Book Club

In Term 2 Book clubbers will be reading Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven.  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 2 July.

Lunchtime Clubs in the Library

There is something for everyone here.  Clubs meet every week in the library Seminar Room at lunchtime to create, learn, relax, share ideas and play.  All students are welcome.
