Out and About

Late in term 1 the VCE Yr 11 and 12 Art classes had an excursion to see ‘Top Arts’, an exhibition showcasing Victoria’s best Final Artworks and folios from 2024’s Unit 3/4 classes. 

It was a great experience to see the incredible artworks and take inspiration from their final art pieces. I enjoyed the wide variety of mediums and styles on display, and my favourite from Top Arts was a digitally rendered animation, which incorporated sound and traditional art elements. 

From there, we visited the NGV, where we explored different styles of art throughout history, including pieces by Piccaso and Monet.  Some of my NGV standouts included the porcelain Art Nouveau figurine set, and the oil painting: ‘Immaculate Conception’ by Murillo, from the Baroque era.
