Year 8 into 9 Subject Selection 

Our Year 8 students will be required to pick three elective subjects for study in stage five, in addition to their mandatory subjects. To help students make an informed decision our school will be running two information sessions. 

Our student information session will occur during period two on Tuesday, 30 June. Head Teachers of each Faculty will provide information on the elective subjects offered within their KLA. Students will also be provided with the subject selection booklet at this session. This booklet provides a summary of each stage 5 Elective offered at Epping Boys High School. 

On Thursday, 23 July at 6pm we will be holding a subject selection information for our parents. This will provide an opportunity for parents to ask specific questions relating to each elective subject on offer. We are lucky to be able to offer such a broad range of electives at Epping Boys High School. We encourage all Year 8 parents to attend this subject selection information sessions with their son. 

Check in assessment

At the start of term two all Middle School students will be completing a NSW DoE  check-in assessment. This involves students completing both a literacy and numeracy assessment. The schedule is as follows:

Year 8 – Period 1 and 2. Monday, 27 July.

Year 9 – Period 1 and 2. Tuesday, 28 July.

Year 7 – Period 3 and 4. Tuesday, 28t July.

Students will be required to bring a fully charged laptop with them on the day of the assessment. Results from the assessment will not be provided to parents. The information will be used to help guide effective teaching and learning at Epping Boys High School.
