This term has been firmly focused on our school musical. After many years, a global pandemic and a couple of subsequent lockdowns, our school presented Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan!

Thank you to our most wonderful Creative and Performing Arts staff led by Head Teacher, Louise Whalley, for their complete dedication to the success of this musical. Our Music, Art and Drama teachers and conductors have given countless hours of their time on weekends, in the holidays and after school. We are so grateful for their energy and expertise in making this musical possible.

Thank you also to the Principal of Cheltenham Girls High School, Suellen Lawrence, and Principal of Riverside Girls High School, Louise McNeil, for allowing their students to join our musical. We greatly value our continued partnerships with both schools.

Congratulations to our cast and crew members for their enthusiasm, commitment, and hard work. It is a joy to see so many of you grow in confidence and skill throughout rehearsals. We have thoroughly enjoyed our school being filled with the sound of swashbuckling songs and some pretty decent pirate puns. I know that participation in this musical will be one of the highlights of their time at school.

To the many other staff and volunteers who contributed their time and energy, including admin staff, front-of-house teams, catering, costuming and set design, this production would not have been possible without your contribution. Finally, I wish to thank our families and the broader school community for their support and encouragement.

Pirates of Penzance showcases the vibrant culture of Epping Boys High School and the incredible talent of our staff and students.
