Callistemon House

Hello everyone! My name is Asma, and I’m proud to be the Year 9 SRC from Callistemon House. I’m really happy to be part of SRC this year and to have the opportunity to represent our House and school as part of the SRC.
Being an SRC member has been a lot of fun and very rewarding. I enjoy being involved because it allows me to help organise events, support students, and contribute to creating a positive and exciting school environment.
So far this term, we’ve had a busy start! We’ve run several fundraising activities, including “Guess the Lollies in the Jar,” selling doughnuts, strawberries with chocolate, hot noodles, and hot chocolate. These events have not only been fun but also helped bring our school community together and support important causes.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting activities planned for everyone. We’re organising volleyball tournaments, which should be a lot of fun and give everyone a chance to show their skills. We’re also planning inside-the-house trivia competitions to challenge our knowledge and have some friendly competition. And of course, we have Cultural Celebration Day coming up, which will be amazing! It will be so special to see students celebrating their backgrounds, wearing their cultural dress, and sharing their traditions with the whole school.
Overall, Term 3 has been going really well. It’s been great to see students participating and enjoying the events we’ve organised, and I’m looking forward to more fun and exciting activities as the term continues. I also want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday when it comes around, and let’s continue to make Callistemon House proud!
