From the Principal

Welcome back to the final term of 2026 and a special welcome to newly enrolled students and their families.

Term 4 is unique in any school. It is an incredibly busy time, when we continue to implement improvement initiatives, evaluate our progress throughout the year, plan for 2026, and celebrate our students’ achievements and “the year that was”.

As always, we have begun the term in a flurry of activity and students and staff have returned from their holiday break positive, rested and ready for the work ahead. Our initial focus is celebrating our Year 12 students, the graduating Class of 2025, as they complete their Secondary School journey. Teachers are currently providing feedback to students on their practice exams; students are working diligently to secure their “S” and complete learning requirements for their VM specialisation or revise for VCAA exams.

In Week 3, we will be farewelling the group in style with a range of events to show how proud we are of all of them and recognise the contribution they have made to our school during their time with us. This will include a staff/student lunch in each House, an excursion for Year 12 students and their teachers to Gumbuya World and our formal Graduation Assembly for the entire school community on Thursday 23rd in Melaleuca Gym. Gabrielle Williams, Minister for Transport and Infrastructure and State Member for Greater Dandenong, will be delivering the Valedictory address and families of Year 12 students are invited to share this very special moment.

I encourage you to read through the following pages of our latest edition to find out more about the amazing things that are happening at Dandenong High School.
