Student Leaders Corner

Hi everyone,

So much has happened in the second half of Term 3, and it has definitely been one of the busiest terms so far, especially for our Year 12 students who have been working hard to finish their SACs and sit their practice exams.

Our fundraisers have gone really well this term, with every House doing a tremendous job. Towards the end of term, we almost had a fundraiser running every lunchtime! The competition for the House Shield is very close right now, with Banksia, Darwinia, Fern, and Hakea all pushing hard. Term 4 will definitely be exciting to see which House comes out on top.

As the term wrapped up, our Year 12s have been completing their final SACs and preparing for their upcoming exams. We also held VTAC meetings with the Careers Team to support every Year 12 student with their applications, making sure they have the best chance at getting into their preferred courses.

Cultural Day was a highlight of the term. It was a fantastic celebration with plenty of photos taken in the library and amazing performances both in the theatre and at lunchtime. Thank you to everyone who participated. We had seven incredible groups perform, and it was wonderful to see both Year 7s and Year 12s enjoying the live performances in the theatre.

The Year 12 Formal Dinner was another unforgettable event. It was a night full of mixed emotions – excitement, laughter, and a little bit of disbelief at how quickly the year has gone by. Whether it was taking photos in the booth or dancing with friends, everyone had an amazing time and made lasting memories.

As we head into the holidays, I want to wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable break. To our Year 12s, I wish you the very best of luck as you prepare for your exams. This is your moment to shine, and we’re all behind you. For those not sitting exams, I hope you take this time to recharge and get ready for the exciting opportunities ahead in Term 4.

Thank you all for your hard work and contributions this term. I can’t wait to see everyone return refreshed, motivated, and ready to finish the year strong.
