Year 7 Boys Soccer State Finals
I am thrilled to share some fantastic news regarding our Year Seven boys soccer team who participated in the state finals today. They achieved an impressive fourth overall, marking them as the fourth best team out of over 2,000 schools involved in the SSV competition! This outstanding performance reflects their dedication and hard work and also show's the success of the Melbourne Victory Program.
Additionally, we were honored to receive the “SSV Spirit of Sport” pendant. This award recognises schools that exemplify positive sporting values such as respect, integrity, and a positive attitude. The award is based celebrating others, inclusive environments, and fair play.
Congratulations to our boys for their remarkable achievements! Their efforts are a testament to the spirit of our school.

Intermediate Girls Table Tennis
Greater Dandenong District Champions!
Thursday 31 July saw the Greater Dandenong Intermediate Table Tennis Competition being contested at the Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association stadium at Oasis in Dandenong.
Unfortunately our Boys team had to withdraw due to the illness of a couple of players, however our Girls team of: Meilyn C10, Manveer C10, Rose G10, Maryam E10 & Simra H10 were ready to go and take on the opposition.
Withdrawals in the girls draw left only 2 teams competing for the title so after a (seemingly never-ending) warm-up period the match against Keysborough-Acacia got underway.
Beginning with the singles matches
Things looked promising after Meilyn won the # singles. Unfortunately the remaining 3 singles matches didn’t go our way but the girls all fought valiantly, never conceding an easy point.
Being 3-1 down after the singles meant that we’d need to win both doubles matches to force a tie and a points countback to win.
Sadly the doubles games both ended up going against us but not without a fight, taking a few games off the opposition in the process.
A 5-1 loss doesn’t look great but on closer inspection each game was only decided by a couple of points so our girls can be proud of the way they never gave up and showed fighting spirit throughout the day.
Well done girls.

Year 8 Girls Futsal
The Year 8 girls ventured to Endeavour Hills for Futsal. They played their heart out against Mt Hira, but unfortunately the fast pace and superior foot skills saw them go down. They played with wonderful spirit and sportsmanship. This was just a warmup to the Regional Outdoors the next Friday. Well done girls for your representation of our school.

Year 8 Girls Soccer
The Year 8 girls soccer team ventured out to Bentleigh Greens for the Regionals on Friday 15/8. It was very trying conditions with strong winds and the rain. Coach Haris and Sean from Melbourne Victory worked to get the girls to the Semi Finals after winning their first two matches. The team tried their hearts out, but went down 2-0. The girls are to be congratulated on their sportsmanship and team work throughout the day.
