Darwinia House

Hello Darwinia! My name is Dabeer, and I’m proud to be representing you as the Year 9 SRC for our House. What I enjoy most about being SRC is the chance to connect with students, share your voices, and work with our leaders to make a positive difference in our community.

This term has already been busy and exciting. Every Friday, we’ve been running our Noodles Fundraiser, which has been a great success. All funds raised are going towards Cornerstone Contact Centre in Dandenong, an organisation that supports people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage, and hardship in our local community. Cornerstone provides meals, emergency relief, a drop-in centre, and a safe place of belonging for those in need. It’s been inspiring to see our house come together to support such an important cause.

We also had our Course Counselling process recently. For us Year 9s, this was an important step as we began thinking about our Year 10 subjects, and I hope it went well for everyone as they planned their future learning.

Our HLT message this term is to keep giving your best effort, stay engaged, and continue showing the teamwork and commitment that makes Darwinia so strong.

As we approach the end of Term 3, I’d like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. Thank you for your hard work and hHuse spirit — let’s finish the term on a high and come back refreshed for Term 4!
