Meet the Eucalyptus Year 12 SRC!

Hi everybody, 

First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. I am Zahra S, and I have the pleasure of being the Year 12 SRC in Eucalyptus House. I am tremendously excited to be a SRC member, for it is quite an impressive position to have, and I am keen to experience and learn new leadership skills and to be more engaged in the school community. 

So, what has been going on in Eucalyptus House? The SRC team in the House meets most Thursdays to talk about how we can best serve, support and be the voice for all students in the House. Many students took part in the Swimming Carnival earlier this term, but we would like to do better in the Athletics carnival. We have been talking about how we can build better House spirit and have more students participate and represent the House. I would like to congratulate Hakea House for being awarded the 2023 Swimming Carnival Champions, as well as the Eucalyptus students who participated in this event. 

Our SRC group has been working on a Ping Pong match that is going to take place in Term 2, which will hopefully encourage many students to participate in sport activities around the school and also enhance fundraising for the charities in need. We have also been planning for social services that are going to take place in the future, such as special cultural events. We have some charities in mind, but have yet to decide where our fundraising efforts will go. A decision will be made when we return in Term 2.
