Art Making and Exhibiting Excursion

On Tuesday, 21 March, we took our Year 11 and Year 12 Art Making and Exhibiting students to view Top Arts. This was a great experience for our students, where they attended a lecture and were informed about how the 2022 top-ranking students developed their ideas, and explored ideas, art forms, materials and techniques. 

After the lecture, our students had an opportunity to view the exhibition, where they not only looked at the artworks but also became immersed with the layout of the exhibition and familiarised themselves with reading the didactic labels and responding to the questions that the teachers had prepared for them. Once they had done some of this work, students went upstairs to view the students' folios, which is always enjoyable, as our students are able to see the high expectations that are required within this study design. 

It was a wonderful experience for our students and a quite busy day, however they did get a good lunch break and then travelled home with excitement and tiredness at the same time.
