Meet the Darwinia Year 12 SRC!

Dear teacher, parents, and fellow peers, 

I would like to introduce myself to you. I am Elaha S, a member of Darwinia House's SRC. 

In order to create a safe, welcoming environment at Darwinia, not only within the classroom but throughout the school, we have planned a number of measures. In the SRC, there has been discussion about ways to provide warmth and a sense of belonging within Darwinia House and several meetings have been held to discuss ways to accomplish this. One of these ways has included decorating the House for Ramadan, a holiday celebrated by many of our Muslim peers within the Dandenong High School community. 

As part of our discussion on fundraising for a charity, we have also discussed how to organise donut stalls at school or even a henna stall for Eid, where we can donate money to a cause that has not yet been decided. 

Darwinia House wishes all of its friends and families an amazing holiday season and a memorable Eid celebration.
