Oxley Shines at District Athletics
After being postponed due to bad weather, the District Athletics Carnival was held on Thursday 27 August, in magnificent sunny conditions. Oxley proudly took 44 students to compete, with each student representing the College with determination, respect and excellent sportsmanship.
To progress to the Division competition, students needed to finish first or second in their event, with only first place progressing in the 200 metres.
Oxley achieved outstanding results, with 33 students qualifying across 34 individual events and five relay events. These students will now compete at the Division Athletics Carnival on Thursday 8 October 2026.

Ultimate Frisbee Grand Final
Throughout Term 3, Year 5 and 6 students have been participating in an exciting Inter-House Ultimate Frisbee Competition during their weekly sport sessions.
The competition has been conducted using the SEPEP model, which provides students with an authentic sporting experience. In addition to competing as players, students have taken on important roles including coaches, umpires, scorers, journalists, videographers and supporters.
Each House has completed 10 matches and 5 support group sessions during the Term, with the results determining the ladder positions and qualification for the finals. Throughout the competition, students have developed their Ultimate Frisbee skills while also demonstrating leadership, teamwork, communication, responsibility, problem-solving and fair play.

Two of the three finals required extra time, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
Congratulations to Da Piglets, who took home the bacon as our competition champions!
In an incredibly close overall result, Blue House claimed the House Championship in a nail-biting finish. Congratulations to every student for displaying excellent teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
