Northcote High School Virtual Art Show 2021

I would like to recognise the Wurundjeri people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we come together to learn and create, and pay respects to Elders of the Kulin Nation past and present.

This year has obviously been one out of the box and I really hope that it remains that way. It has been tough on all of us, parents, students and teachers alike, which is all the more reason why we should celebrate the creative talents of our students.

As Van Gogh said: “What molting time is to birds, so adversity or misfortune is for us humans.” In other words we all grow from adversity and it is in these moments that we really find out who we are and what we are made of especially when it comes to the creative mind.

The Northcote High School Art Faculty has curated a virtual tour for you all to enjoy and reflect upon 2020. Art works include everything from the the Year 7 Archibald Prizes and Still Lifes, to Animation and Media videos in Years 9 and 10, all the way up to the Year 12 VCD, Studio Art and Media.

Please come on in and find your child’s art while taking a virtual walk through the amazing work from all of the students. Spend some time browsing the production of each year level, all the while immersing yourselves in the creative worlds of our talented students.
