Year 9 Dream Theory

In this course students studied the dream theories of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, and their influence on the establishment of the Surrealist Art movement. They also investigated the work of various Surrealist artists and poets such as André Breton, Tristan Tzara, Salvador Dali, James Gleeson and Frida Kahlo - exploring their work based on the idea of the subconscious mind.  Students created a range of Surreal or dream-like pieces using different art media.
